Delete account

Delete your ScriptlyAI / Word & Way account and its associated data. You do not need an active subscription to request deletion.

Request deletion yourself

Open the app or website, sign in and go to Settings → Delete account. Review the consequences, verify your identity and type DELETE to confirm. The direct account-deletion link below works on the website, including for expired subscriptions.

If you cannot sign in

Email smcclainpac@gmail.com with the subject “Delete my ScriptlyAI account” from the email associated with your account. We will verify ownership before deleting it. Do not include your password, journal contents or payment card details.

What is deleted

The account login, profile/photo, notes, journals, bookmarks, highlights, prayer content, personal studies and answers, progress/activity, sermon recordings/transcripts, uploaded files, reminders, group memberships and your shared answers/comments are removed. Associated website subscriptions are canceled. Other members’ accounts and contributions are preserved. If you lead a group with other members, leadership passes to a remaining member. An empty group is removed.

Timing and exceptions

Deletion is permanent. Access is disabled when cleanup begins; automated cleanup normally completes within 24 hours and retries interruptions. We do not keep an archive of your deleted app content. Provider backups/recovery copies, security logs and legally required payment records may remain under provider retention policies or law. Previously exported content and copies saved by other people cannot be recalled. Contact support if you need help or cleanup has not completed.
