Terms of Service

Updated October 6, 2026

These terms apply to ScriptlyAI (Word & Way), operated by Scott McClain, including the website and mobile apps. By using the service, you agree to these terms. Contact: smcclainpac@gmail.com.

Your account

You must be at least 13 to use the service. If you are under the age of majority where you live, use it with permission from a parent or guardian. Provide accurate account information, keep your sign-in credentials secure and use the service lawfully.

Subscriptions and cancellation

Website subscriptions use Stripe. The price, billing interval, trial conditions and renewal terms shown at checkout govern your purchase. Subscriptions renew until canceled. Contact support to cancel your subscription. Deleting your account requests cancellation of associated website subscriptions and permanently removes your account content. Deletion does not automatically issue a refund; contact support about billing disputes or refund requests. Your statutory rights are unaffected.

Your content and recording permission

You retain your rights in content you supply. You authorize us and our service providers to store and process it as needed to provide the features you request. Upload or record only material you have permission to use. Obtain any consent needed to record a sermon, a speaker or other people. You control whether to share supported content with groups or through public links.

Groups and acceptable use

Treat others respectfully. Do not post unlawful, abusive or infringing material, impersonate others, misuse personal information or attempt to bypass security or access restrictions. We may remove content or restrict access to protect the service and its users.

Bible content, video and AI

Scripture translations and third-party media remain subject to their owners’ rights and applicable attribution and usage conditions. AI-generated explanations, prayers, transcripts and studies may contain mistakes. Verify references and use your judgment; generated content is not a substitute for professional medical, legal or other advice. Third-party services have their own terms and privacy policies.

Account deletion

You may request permanent deletion in Settings or through the public Delete account page. This removes saved notes, journals, bookmarks, progress, personal studies, recordings and other account content, subject to the provider/transaction retention limits described in the Privacy Policy. Deletion cannot be undone. Other members’ accounts and contributions remain, and material they independently copied cannot be recalled.

Availability and changes

Features and availability may change. We work to keep the service reliable but cannot promise uninterrupted access or error-free content. These terms do not exclude protections or remedies that cannot be excluded under applicable law. Material changes to these terms will be reflected in the updated terms and revision date.
